Councilman, City of Manassas
My name is David Farajollahi (FAIR-AH-JOE-LA-HE). I am a born and raised Virginian, who grew up down the road in Lorton. I am also a first generation American, the first born son of two proud immigrant parents. My father is Persian, originally from Iran (hence the last name) and my mother is Hispanic/Latina, originally from Bolivia. Growing up with parents of two very different ethnicities, has taught me to both speak the languages and better understand cultures from my own experiences. I am also a proud husband to my lovely wife, Patricia, and proud father to our beautiful baby girl.
I am a product of our regions public school system, Fairfax County specifically. I am the first in my family to graduate College where I double majored in Political Science and Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University (go Rams!) as well as earning a Masters’ in Global Affairs with a concentration in Governance and Public Management from George Mason University. I share all of this with you because I feel its important for you to also know the background of your local official. I may not be too different from you. I am a husband, father, neighbor and public servant.
